In 1755, Alexandre Jean Joseph Le Riche de La Pouplinière, farmer general during the reign of Louis XV, built in its area of Boulainvilliers a theater at the end of the driveway of his castle. Patron informed, he gathers around him a circle of artists and intellectuals including big names such as Voltaire, Quentin de La Tour, Van Loo, Stamitz, Rameau ...
