The Rose Garden at Bagatelle, in the Parc de Bagatelle in Paris (Bois de Boulogne) is one of the largest rose gardens and the oldest in France. Initiated and managed by the City of Paris, it was created in 1905 by landscape architect Jean Claude Nicolas Forestier (1861-1930). Each year in June it held an international competition of new roses.
